1. Who can file his grievance on this portal?

Ans. Any person who has any grievance relating to investment in corporate sector can seek redressal of his grievance by filling the requisite Grievance Form under the appropriate category.

3. Who cannot file grievance on this portal?

Ans. Any person who has grievances of those securities which are not listed on Indian Stock Exchanges and/or Companies not registered in India.

4. What grievances are not taken-up by Investor Helpline?

Ans. Presently, the following grievances are not taken-up by Investor Helpline:

  • Disputes between clients and brokers. 
  • Dispute referred to arbitration through Stock Exchanges. 
  • Alleged unauthorised operation of Accounts by Depository Participant. 
  • Grievances relating to companies under winding-up/liquidation.

5. What is the portal all about?

Ans. The Investor Helpline portal is developed by Midas Touch Investors Association for providing a platform to the Investor for 

  • Redressal of Investor Grievance. 
  • The Portal aims at informing and updating investor about his Rights under Acts like Companies Act, SEBI Act etc. Midas Touch Investors Association proposes to keep on adding investor friendly information on the portal from time to time.
  • Midas Touch Investors Association would work as an intermediary between the companies/entities/regulators and Investors in capital market.
  • Midas Touch Investors Association would act as an advocacy group for suggesting systemic reforms.

6. Do I need a computer and internet access to file grievances?

Ans. Absolutely not, you can access the portal from internet café also. You don’t need to have a computer or internet connection of your own.

8. What will the helpline do with my grievance?

Ans. The detailed process proposed to be followed by IH for grievance redressal is given under helpline process link. However, IH reserves the right to change/after/modify the process at any time without any intimation to user. 

9. Do I need to have an e-mail account for lodging grievances on IH?

Ans. Absolutely not, requirement of e-mail is optional. We have devised our processes in a fashion where all information is made available on site. Exchange of E-mails is not at all a pre-requisite for interaction with IH Administrator. 

10. What will happen to my complaint if the entity/authority concerned does not redress it within the timeframe proposed by Midas Touch Investors Association?

Ans. Midas Touch Investors Association will close the complaints lodged after six months. Midas Touch Investors Association proposes to make a set of complaints pending for more than six months and take them up with the concerned authorities for action, including penal action. 

11. Is the Helpline empowered by any authority for taking up grievances?

Ans. The Helpline is authorised by Investor Education Protection Fund under Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India but is not empowered by any authority for taking up grievances. The past track record of Midas Touch Investors Association given under About us link clearly emphasizes the major achievements made by Midas Touch Investors Association without any such empowerment. 

12. Will Investor Helpline go in litigation on my behalf after exhausting all other methods of redressal?

Ans. No, Midas Touch Investors Association or Investor Helpline will not take-up the grievances by way of litigation before judicial or quasi-judicial authorities.
